Meet debra
Debra, artist, teacher, and founder of Clay Day Studio, is a connector at heart and a firm believer in the power of art to bring people together. Her career began in higher education, where she connected students and alumni to the creative industry, helping them find inspiration, opportunities, and community. Over the past 10 years, she has honed her skills in ceramics, creating both functional and contemporary art pieces and collaborating with organizations such as the Bailiey Contemporary Art, and the Adrienne Arsht Center. Teaching is where Debra lights up. Her classes buzz with energy, clay-covered hands, bursts of laughter, and those quiet moments of focus when ideas take shape. She designs each session to spark imagination, encourage bold personal expression, and make the act of creating feel just as exciting and satisfying as holding the finished piece in your hands. In 2025, she founded Clay Day Studio, a warm, welcoming space where people can explore their artistic side, connect with others, and leave with something uniquely their own.
Meet Cathi
Cathi is one of our amazing teachers. She is an artist, teacher, and community pillar who has a gift for making everyone feel included. For over 25 years, she has worked as a designer supporting non-profits with creative solutions that bring ideas to life. She sees herself as an intuitive mediator of art, design, and human connection, always finding ways to bridge people and projects. Whether she’s guiding a class, collaborating on large multi-platform initiatives, or offering one-on-one support, Cathi’s approach is rooted in creativity, compassion, and community.
Where We Create, Play, Think, and Connect!
Bring your ideas to life
It all begins with a lump of clay aka dirt. Maybe you want to make a candle holder or you want to sculpt something bold and expressive for your home. Whatever you imagine, hand-building lets you shape it, one pinch, coil, and slab at a time.
Create Connect Community
A ceramic class is more than create with clay, it’s sharing stories, laughter, and inspiration, or simply enjoying quiet, focused time. As you shape your piece, you’re also shaping connections, friendships, and a creative community that celebrates every step.
Expand your creativity
We’re here to help you explore what’s possible with clay—whether it’s learning new handbuilding techniques, trying different forms and textures, or creating pieces you never imagined you could make.
